Flood Financial Help & Home Repair

American Red Cross Financial Assistance Outreach

  • The American Red Cross has financial assistance available to help people who are experiencing roadblocks to recovery after the community's recent historic flood event.

The Red Cross has performed damage assessment in partnership with State and county officials.  They are actively reaching out to specific individuals whose homes have been confirmed as destroyed or as having sustained major structural damage.

The Red Cross would also like to encourage homeowners who feel they have suffered major structural damage to their properties to visit redcross.org/gethelp to register for assistance online, or to phone 1-800-RED-CROSS to open a case.

  • If your Skagit County home or business was damaged by the recent floods, you may be eligible for disaster assistance from the State.  Even if you have suffered only minor damage and do not expect to need assistance, it is recommended that you still submit an Initial Damage Assessment Form
  • Contact Skagit County Department of Emergency Management with any questions, DEM@co.skagit.wa.us or the Flood Hotline at 360-416-2090.
  • Disaster Cash Assistance is available for eligible households affected by the floods beginning December 17, 2025 through January 15, 2026.
  • DSHS can also replace food benefits in a natural disaster.
