Boat Launch | Roger 'Gus' Tjeerdsma Boat Launch
Admission Fee | None |
This year-round 2-lane paved ramp is popular with trailer boaters for its ease of use to access the Skagit River. Its gradually sloped ramp and ample parking make it the perfect choice for launching all sizes of trailer boats. Portable restrooms are located midway from the ramp and launch entry gates. Overnight and long term parking are not permitted at the boat launch.
Access & Water Levels
The Roger 'Gus' Tjeerdsma boat launch gates sit at the intersection of South Gardner Road and East Rio Vista Avenue.
Boat launch gates typically remain open around the clock unless high water levels are projected. With public safety in mind, launch gates may be locked if the Skagit River water level is forecast to rise to 19 feet or higher - or if the area is not cleared of debris from recent high waters.
Gates reopen once water levels have receded and cleanup of the launch can be completed.
