Line Dancing In line dancing, we dance without partners. We are a group of dancers doing the same steps at the same time. Line dancing is a popular low-impact way to exercise both your mind and body. Plus it's fun! This class is structured for beginners. Learn dance steps and choreography for both traditional and contemporary line dancing. Exercise! Learn dances! Have fun! 

Photography Do you love to take pictures? Would you like to know more about what your camera has to offer?  Photographer Andy Porter joins Burlington Parks & Recreation in offering classes for Digital DSLR camera owners. Photo composition, editing classes and special outdoor excursions build on your expertise. Hands-on instruction offers students the opportunity to get the most out of what their camera has to offer. Self-Esteem & Awareness Workshop
Self-esteem is vital to personal success in life, and if you don't have it, how do you get it? This interactive workshop helps you learn simple techniques and other ways to retrain your mind to get you on the track to great self-esteem... and you will have some fun along the way, too! This two-hour workshop helps you discover that you are not alone in your self-esteem issues; you are deserving of positive self-esteem; and share tools on how you can get there.

Yoga Foundations: Getting Confident with Yoga Remove the mystery associated with yoga and its practice. This series prepares participants to comfortably and confidently attend regular yoga classes. Taught in a 3-week series, the first two sessions familiarize students with basic yoga postures and breath techniques. The final session combines the learning into a flow-style class. Mats available to borrow; or purchase a new mat from yoga instructor. The Program Flyer linked above is updated as new class dates are confirmed.

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga Class is known as the yoga of awareness. Kundalini Yoga taps into the sacred and transformative energies that reside in all of us, strengthening the immune and glandular systems, and supporting the body, mind and spirit. Open to all skill levels. Bring yoga mat and water bottle, wear loose comfortable clothing. Instructor Kristi Allen is a KRI Certified kundalini yoga teacher and has been practicing yoga for 25 years. 

Hatha Yoga

This is a great yoga class whether you are an experienced yogi or someone who’s looking for a place to start. Instructor Sherry Thostenson will lead you through your poses, help with your form & positioning and offer options for your movements based on skill & comfort levels. Decoy Carving & Painting  Burlington Parks & Recreation is pleased to offer this class series in partnership with the Washington Brant Foundation. Students are introduced to the art of hand-carving a duck decoy. They learn simple carving techniques (which incredibly do not require the use of carving knives) and how to finish their decoy with "texture painting" in oil paint.
