Active Shooter

Designed for educating school employees/businesses on how law enforcement reacts and to give them ideas of how to be more prepared.

Business Program Modules
  • Bank / Store Robbery: Risk Reduction and Employee Safety Measures
  • CPTED: “Crime Prevention through Environmental Design”
  • Employee Theft: Designed for business owners, executive managers, and loss prevention personnel
  • Fraud / Forgery: Employee identification of suspicious or fraudulent activity, documents, and counterfeit currency
  • Hotel / Motel: Importance and legal requirements of open communication
  • Shoplifting: Prevention and intervention

Career in Law Enforcement
A program brought to high school aged individuals considering the field of law enforcement as a career. Generally presented during career week at Burlington-Edison High School (BEHS).

Gang Awareness

Designed to educate the community on Gang history and trends. Also to help recognize possible gang involvement in juveniles.
Identifying Drug Use in Children
A program to aid parents in recognizing physical and behavioral characteristics associated with drug use.

Neighborhood Block Watch
Designed to assist neighborhoods develop, implement, and maintain an effective block watch program.

Project Lifesaver
A program designed to provide a safety net for the most vulnerable of adult citizens while at the same time providing their families with peace of mind.

The sexting program provides legal ramifications of transmitting inappropriate materials of a sexual nature via electronic communication. The program is designed for school aged youth and their parents.

Vacation House Check
Residents of Burlington may have their residence checked by authorities while away on vacation. Complete the request form to sign up.
