The Burlington Fire Department is a full-service emergency response agency employing full-time and part-time firefighters to respond annually to approximately 2,000 calls for service. The Burlington Fire Department provides fire, rescue, and emergency medical services for City of Burlington residents and visitors, and has an automatic mutual aid agreement with the City of Mount Vernon.

The entire service area includes more than 16,000 residents in an area of approximately 32 square miles.The Fire Department provides emergency services to meet the needs of our residents and the 45,000-60,000 daily visitors to the City of Burlington and the immediate area.
